Meadow Project

This project was a collaboration with DeSousa Homes. The house was built as an investment property for sale by the builder. The first day I drove by the site... I fell in love with the location..it inspired me to create a home which was fresh, light and comfortable... nothing stuffy or too precious..just LIVEABLE..

A light brick and overall tone on tone and textural colourscheme gives this home a quiet elegance.

The family room during and after...we could have created a symmetrical built in...however, the choice to design an asymmetrical focal point in the family room gives a more casual feel to the space...and just different from the rest.

Though there is always a plan on paper... onsite, there is always something which gets resolved and works better based on the framing or other onsite issues.

When the cabinets go up..is when the home starts to take shape..

The final result is a kitchen which is family friendly, welcoming to friends and family and attractive to look at.

We added lots of lighting which is key to creating different moods and adding tremendous functionality. Lights over the sink area, classic globe pendants over the island, under cabinet lighting and lots of pot lights all work together.

A feature wall of wine behind glass doors seperates the dining and kitchen area.... this is a treat for sure!!
